Maitrī is a WA-based grassroots initiative offering gentle, trauma-responsive wellbeing programs for women, mothers and children experiencing adversity. Programs are designed to nurture nervous system wellbeing, emotional resilience, connection, and belonging.
We welcome opportunities to collaborate with women's health services, community organisations, schools, local government, and other services supporting women and families within their communities.
supporting women, together
Maitrī recognises that meaningful community wellbeing begins with listening. Programs can be offered in collaboration with trusted organisations and adapted, where appropriate, to reflect the needs, strengths, and circumstances of the women and children they support.
All programs are grounded in trauma-responsive principles that prioritise dignity, safety, autonomy, cultural respect, and gentle participation.
If Maitrī may complement the work of your organisation or community, we would love to hear from you.
-
Maitrī programs are designed to be welcoming, accessible, and suitable for women, mothers and children with no prior experience of movement or wellbeing practices.
Organisations supporting women and families are warmly invited to refer those who may benefit from gentle, trauma-responsive wellbeing programs that nurture connection, emotional resilience, and a sense of belonging.

At this early stage, practical contributions may include simple items used within programs, such as:
• padded floor mats
• cushions and bolsters
• blankets
• infant and children's play mats
• age-appropriate toys and sensory itemsThese simple contributions can help us create nurturing spaces where participants feel comfortable, cared for, and welcome.
If you would like to support a Maitrī program in this way, we would love to hear from you.
