Maitrī is a grassroots initiative supporting refugee and asylum-seeker women and their children through trauma-informed, gentle movement, connection, and community.

Children & Family Participation

Children are welcome to attend alongside their mothers or caregivers.

Participants acknowledge that:

• they are responsible for the supervision and care of their children at all times
• Maitrī does not provide childcare services

Future programs designed specifically for children may include additional guidelines.

Health & Safety

Participants are encouraged to:

• inform the facilitator of any relevant health concerns where comfortable
• take responsibility for modifying or declining practices

All activities are offered as gentle, invitational experiences.

Attendance & Cancellations

Maitrī programs are offered at no cost to participants.

To support fair access:

• participants are encouraged to attend all sessions where possible
• if you are unable to attend, you are asked to notify Maitrī as early as possible
• repeated non-attendance without notice may result in your place being offered to another participant

This ensures opportunities are available to others in the community.

Program Availability

Maitrī aims to provide consistent access to programs; however:

• sessions may be adjusted, rescheduled, or cancelled where necessary
• changes may occur due to venue availability, facilitator capacity, or community needs

Where possible, reasonable notice will be provided.

Photography & Media

During Maitrī programs, photographs or general media may occasionally be taken for the purpose of sharing information about the initiative.

• no identifying images will be used without explicit consent
• participation in photography is entirely optional

You may request not to be included at any time.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Maitrī is not liable for:

• any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation
• any decisions made based on information provided
